Tyson's Story

Meet Tyson, a handsome brindle Boxer whose expressive face—and unforgettable underbite/cleft combination—will make you smile every day.

Tyson recently completed a month of intensive training at Innovative K9 Training Academy, where he mastered leash walking and crate manners. He's a true gentleman on walks, doesn't pull, and is perfectly crate-trained. At home, Tyson is a champion lounger, often relaxing in his signature saddle sit that's as unique as he is.

Once Tyson bonds with you, he's all about cuddles and cozy naps. He's a loyal, affectionate companion who loves spending time with his favorite people.

Tyson is a sensitive dog who thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Loud noises and busy households can make him anxious, so he's looking for a quiet home without small children. He can be protective of his people and home, and while he may enjoy being your one-and-only pet, he has lived successfully with another Boxer and learned to calmly ignore other dogs during training.

His cleft palate is simply part of what makes him special and requires no medical care. Tyson happily eats dry kibble without issue; he just needs to avoid soft foods such as peanut butter.

Tyson is neutered, current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you're looking for a well-trained, affectionate companion with loads of personality, Tyson could be your perfect match.

If you are interested in adopting Tyson, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt).
