Tyra's Story
Tyra arrived at the Haven very confused and scared, with no idea as to why she lost her family and wound up in a shelter. With time, patience, and love, she has blossomed into a delight. She has gone on adventures with her foster family, demonstrating that she is great in the car, very serious about her sniffing responsibilities, and happy to enjoy whatever treats she finds along the way.

Tyra walks well on the leash and enjoys going for her daily constitutionals. She's also happy to sniff around in the yard. She is good with dogs around her own size, but finds larger dogs overwhelming. Feline dogs are not acceptable companions. She is working on remembering her housetraining skills but making great progress. She is fine left home alone and sleeps peacefully through the night.

Tyra has dry eye, very common for the breed, so she is on eye drops to help her be more comfortable. Her vision and hearing are no longer 100% but she is still plenty capable. She's good going for walks or traversing the stairs. She loves to snuggle and has very reasonable exercise needs.

Tyra loves going for walks, car rides, trips to buy treats, cuddling with her human on the couch or in bed. She has one ear that goes flippy-flop.

If cuddling up with this sweet girl sounds appealing to you, apply today!

Tyra is approx 10 years old and 18 lbs.
Fostered in Erie PA.
Please apply at mirishaven.org.
