Tyler's Story

Meet Tyler!

Tyler is a 4-year-old, 11-pound Shih Tzu who is happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s an affectionate little lap dog who loves being loved and is loyal to the people he trusts.

Tyler is good with children and new people, although he can be easily scared when he’s in a new environment. He’ll do best with a patient family who can give him time to settle in and feel comfortable. He does better walking with a harness and is mostly crate trained.

Tyler is still working on his house manners and may mark, so his new family should be prepared to continue that training. He can also bark when he’s bored, so keeping his little mind and body busy will be important.

Tyler previously suffered an injury to his right eye and is now non visual in that eye. He’ll need routine monitoring of the eye and artificial tears twice daily to help keep it comfortable and healthy.

If you’re looking for a sweet little companion who wants to be your lap dog and loyal sidekick, Tyler may be your guy.

• Around 4 years old
• Currently 11 lbs
• Good with dogs, kids and cats
• Adoption fee: $300

This dog is in foster.
