Twyla's Story

Twyla is a 10 month old delightful mix of breeds (Cattle Dog, Miniature Schnauzer, Catahoula, and many more….). She is the perfect size at 35# and is nearly full grown. Twyla is the kind of dog who turns heads and steals hearts in about 0.2 seconds with her wiry hair, eyebrows and charm!

This girl is smart, busy, and ready for action. Her foster has been putting in the work, and it shows. Twyla already knows sit, down, “go to bed” (kennel), off, and more. She’s the kind of dog who wants to learn, which means with the right home, she’s going to absolutely shine. She is also 99% house trained!

Twyla is a social butterfly with other dogs and even attends doggy daycare like a pro. She lives with another playful dog and a senior. She adjusts her play style to be gentle with the small senior dog. We really think she would enjoy a friend with similar play style. Twyla is also an A+ student at the vet (gold star behavior 🌟). She loves cats a little too much. While she has never hurt her foster’s cat, he has her bags packed and is ready for her departure. She finds him a little too exciting and is a pest!

Twyla is higher energy, intelligent dog. She is looking for a home that will keep both her body and brain busy. She would be a fun dog for a family with an active lifestyle. She would thrive with enrichment toys, training games, and maybe as a hiking or running partner. Twyla would prefer a home with a fenced in yard.

Twyla is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet her, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
