I am being fostered in Kansas City, KS.<br/> <br/>I love my humans but dont show it much. I'm not comfortable asking for affection but do allow stroking of my velvety black fur. I very much enjoy my meals and love sleeping with my foster mom.<br/><br/>I have no issues with the other dogs in my foster home and would like to have a dog sister or brother in my forever home. I even attempt to play now and then. <br/>I get along with everyone but I'm still scared and will lay on the ground if I feel threatened. <br/><br/>I need a quiet home with patient humans that will allow me to come out of my shell in my own time.<br/> <br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? No, but working on it<br/>Leash-trained? No I'm still very afraid. I wear a harness but dont willingly walk on the leash. We are working on it.<br/>Rides well in car? Yes.<br/>Good with other dogs? Yes <br/>Good with cats? Not yet tested<br/>Good with young children? I would be better off in a quiet adult home with people who want to spend time with me.<br/>Good with strangers? I am currently afraid of strangers.<br/>Shy or confident? Shy<br/>Barks? Yes occasionally, mainly when playing<br/>Apartment qualified? Yes as long as I have a pal.<br/>Any Special needs or Health Issues? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.<br/><br/>MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.<br/><br/>If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application<br/><br/>Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
