Tux's Story

Tux is a 4-year-old, 76-pound mystery mix, probably some combination of Lab, Border Collie and bully breed. Whatever went into the recipe, the result is a big, handsome, playful dog whose primary purpose in life is to adore his person and be adored in return.

Tux loves a ball. Any ball. He has no brand loyalty or exacting standards. If you will throw it, he will chase it, and a securely fenced yard will give him plenty of room to conduct this important work. He also loves hiking, car rides and Starbucks, largely because the people there understand that pup cups belong to Tux. He is less clear on why anyone else would receive one.

Tux is playful and athletic without being hyper. He enjoys exercise and wants to be included, but he does not need to ricochet off the walls from breakfast until bedtime. He is happy to head out for an adventure, play a good round of ball and then settle in with his person. Tux would be great with kids over 10 or younger if sturdy.

Tux can be great with some dogs. The problem is that he has his own private and completely undisclosed selection criteria, and we cannot reliably predict who will make the cut. For that reason, Tux will be placed as the only dog in his home. Cats are an absolute no. Tux is not mildly cat-averse or merely in need of a careful introduction. He is vehemently anti-cat.

Tux needs a securely fenced yard, a supply of balls and someone who wants a deeply affectionate companion. He wants to play, go places, ride in the car, collect his pup cup and come home to someone who thinks he is wonderful. In return, he will think you hung the moon. That is really his whole thing.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/.
