His genetic marker DNA test shows he has American Pit Bull, Rottweiler, and German Shepherd in him, plus he’s not prone to any conditions. He weighs about 65lb and is looking for a calm, loving, and understanding home who can help him thrive and be the best dog he can be. He is fully up to date on his vaccines and has no medical concerns.

Unfortunately, Tutter’s early life as a puppy was spent on the streets down in Texas fighting for food. He was originally found by a kill shelter, saved by a rescue, and made the journey to Virginia to live with his current family. Tutter’s rough upbringing has unfortunately caused some food aggression to mainly other dogs. While most days Tutter is able to overcome this, he may have days where he feels uncertain and needs extra love and support. Luckily he has shown no aggression to adults at all, even around food.

Tutter is an extremely loyal dog, loving and goofy! He has a medium length coat. He has a bit of an underbite that has no cause for medical concern. His family finds it to be a charming feature of his. Tutter is extremely playful yet also calm. Tutter listens very well and thrives under routine.

Tutter currently lives with another dog and a young child, but his family has learned that he needs an environment where he is potentially the only dog and no young children. His family believes Tutter will thrive in an environment that has older children (teenagers) or adults only. Tutter needs an environment where he can be supported, loved, and active.

Tutter loves:

Playing! Tutter loves playing catch and will return the ball to his person. He loves running and playing in water.
Tutter loves to cuddle with his person, and loves to be petted.
Tutter loves practicing his commands, he knows how to Sit, Lay, Speak, and Pray.
Walks! He loves new sights and smells and is not difficult on the leash. He even will run on the leash.
Tutter loves being involved with his person in activities, rather it is cuddling while on the couch, or playing outside, he will be your best friend.
Tutter would do best in:

A calm adult only environment
Only dog environment
A home with a fenced in backyard/or a safe place for him to play and run.
A routine based environment, he isn’t afraid of the kennel at night or when home alone.
A loving, kind, and understanding environment
Tutter’s early life as a puppy has caused some fear with food. Tutter has bitten once in the past over a food based situation, this bite ultimately a deep scratch but still concerning. Tutter needs an environment where he can feel like he does not have to compete for food.

This is a very hard decision that his family has had to make. His family has not made this decision lightly, and just wants the best for him. His family adores him and wants to see Tutter thrive in a more appropriate environment for him. His family will provide all records, DNA results, and vaccine information.

For more information or questions, please contact:

Claire (225) 206-7153

clairework260@gmail.com

Posted May 19, 2026
