Meet Tuscany Rose
“Life offers you a thousand chances... all you have to do is take one.”
-- Frances Mayes, "Under the Tuscan Sun"
Won’t you take a chance on me? I’m Tuscany Rose, a five-year-old Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix, miniature-sized (only 9.5 pounds) but full of heart.
Like the Tuscan countryside, I’m rustic but refined, and I fancy a life of simple pleasures...like quiet walks around the neighborhood and a cozy dog bed for my naps. I don’t require a crate because I’m trustworthy. I don’t care much for toys or chase. I much prefer long car rides (next to you, of course) and endless belly rubs. I get a little scared and will bark around strangers and other dogs, so a single family home would be best for me. You know, something along the lines of a modest Italian villa with a private garden where I can exercise privately.
Adopting an adult dog is the best-kept secret around! I’m house trained, I don’t chew on items that don’t belong to me and my favorite pastime is relaxing. Low maintenance is the best way to describe me.
After 5 years of the rough life, I'm ready to take it easy. I think I'd like a home where I'm the only dog, so I get ALL the attention. Ideally, it would be with adults only, so I REALLY get all the attention. I'm dreaming of days filled with belly rubs...
So, arrivederci for now! I hope our paths cross soon!
Please check our events page at http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org to find where this dog may be shown this weekend. If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must send an application or email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along :-)
The breed or breed mix listed for each dog is simply a guess. The profile software program requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near Chicagoland... we are sorry but we cannot accept any out of state applications. We look forward to speaking with you!
