Meet Tundra!

This sweet, tender girl is looking for a foster home or a foster to adopt home! Tundra had been running loose in a community in Langley for weeks until she could safely be captured and brought to LAPS. Since arriving at the shelter Tundra has made lots of progress with her behavior modification, due to her past this will be an ongoing necessity for her to feel safe and continue to progress but she will ultimately need a home that can safely manage her and keep her safe. Tundra is so sweet and loves running up when she feels safe for kisses and rubs and now can see the value in her people and will stay for a cuddle. If she is not familiar with you it will take time and lots of positive reinforcement to build a relationship.

Tundra will need the following in her new home or foster:
- Ability to put mats on slippery surfaces if you don't have carpet
- No small children
- Ideally a well matched dog to help her and play with her!
- Ongoing use of anxiety medication (we have worked hard with a veterinary team to start this process, and it has helped Tundra cope)
- Some who will only use positive reinforcement training methods and can work with a certified positive reinforcement trainer to help manage and progress
- Direct access to a yard as Tundra is still learning to walk on leash and is fearful going outside in new spaces
- Patience and lots of love for this sweet girl!
