Tulip's Story

Tulip has been through a lot.<br/> She was in a situation where she was abused and neglected, and very Malnourished.<br/> She managed to escape from the enclosure she was held in and RUN for help and safety. She found a man who was kind to her and called for help for her.<br/> She ended up coming to our shelter.<br/> She was so skinny- malnourished and full of DEEP wounds all over her body. the worst being on her paws and legs.<br/> So through some medication for her wounds, slow feedings, ( getting fed several times a day in small amounts.) <br/> Tulip has made a remarkable recovery. Tulip had the will to live, the determination and strength to escape and find safety.<br/> NOW that Tulips wounds have healed up and she is feeling better. She has developed a personality that is just super.<br/> Lets put it this way. Tulip is now a beautiful girl again and she KNOWS it.<br/> She is a remarkable gal with Swagger now.<br/> When Tulip gets adopted. We will be screening people thoroughly. She is going to only the VERY BEST HOME.<br/> Where she will be the Queen and spoiled Rotten.<br/><br/> If you are interested in adopting me or any of my friends here at the Brown County Humane Society, please call our voice mail number at 507-359-2312. The shelter is open for adoptions on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so you can meet us. If Saturdays do not work, please call us so we can set up an appointment time to meet with you.<br/><br/>An Application to Adopt MUST be filled out prior to any adoptions. The application can be found on our website https://bchsnu.com/adoptions/ (scroll to the bottom of the page to find Adoption Forms) or by picking one up from the shelter.<br/><br/>All dogs have been vet checked, tested for heartworm, given age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and spayed or neutered, if old enough. Heartworm testing may not have been done on puppies that are adopted out before they are old enough to be tested. Dog Adoption Fees are $125 (+MN State Sales Tax) for SPAYED or NEUTERED dogs/puppies OR $125 + $50 Deposit (+MN State Sales Tax) for dogs/puppies that have NOT YET BEEN SPAYED or NEUTERED. The $50 Deposit is refundable upon return of signed voucher from your Vet, by the date agreed upon with the adoption specialist. Senior dog (7 years or older) Adoption Fees are $55 (+MN State Sales Tax).
