Posted 12/3/2023. Tucker begins each day with enthusiasm and joy and plenty of sweet kisses for his humans. Then this energetic seven-month-old Beagle mix runs and plays in the yard, loves to go for walks, explores the world around him, and brings a smile to everyone he meets. His warm and friendly spirit fills up every moment of the day, and by nighttime he is ready to crawl up next to his humans and doze off. Despite the fact that he was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter, Tucker must have been loved by someone in the past because he trusts and adores his humans and is an affectionate dog. He weighs about 28 pounds and is very good looking, a typical beagle personality with a zest for life and beagle howls. Tucker is adaptable and sociable - the life of the party! He loves playing with other dogs, and will do best in a home with another dog as his companion. Tucker is looking for a home where his humans are not away more than 4 hours a day. He needs structure and guidance as all young dogs do, as well as humans who understand the Beagle personality and have time to devote to him. Tucker will be a wonderful addition to just about any type of home as he loves adults and children and gets along well with other dogs. His happy spirit is contagious!

As part of our adoption agreement, we require that you and your adopted canine attend a minimum of one group basic obedience course within 4 months of adoption. If adopting a puppy under 4 months old, we also require a group puppy socialization course be started immediately upon adoption.
In addition, we require that puppies under 6 months of age will not be alone for more than 4 hours at a time in an 8 hour workday. We highly encourage working families to consider older puppies and adult dogs, but if your heart is set on a puppy, please consider doggie daycare.
