Trout - AVAILABLE's Story

Meet Trout, the Catch of a Lifetime!

Looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts adventure buddy, professional snuggler, and lovable goofball? Well, you're in luck because this Trout is quite the catch!

Trout is a sweet, silly, fun-loving hound with a heart of gold and a nose that never clocks out. Whether he's exploring a new trail, sniffing his way along the beach, or investigating every fascinating smell the world has to offer, Trout believes the best adventures are the ones you take your time enjoying. He's even tackled hikes up to five miles, although he'll happily remind you that stopping to smell the roses (and everything else) is half the fun!

When he's not out exploring, Trout is a champion couch cuddler and enthusiastic toy enthusiast. One of his funniest talents is throwing toys for himself and then chasing after them. Who needs a playmate when you can be your own entertainment? Of course, Trout LOVES other dogs and is always happy to make a splash with canine friends. He's gentle and easygoing in his interactions, although he enjoys some enthusiastic wrestling and chase games with dogs who appreciate his playful style.

Trout is also a friendly fellow who happily greets new people with a wagging tail. He thrives on routine, prefers early mornings and early bedtimes, and may need a little time to settle into unfamiliar surroundings. But once he's comfortable, he's ALL IN on the cozy life!

Trout is looking for a family with plenty of love, a little patience, and room in their hearts for one incredibly sweet, slightly goofy fish out of water. If you're fishing for a best friend, look no further. Trout is ready to reel you in with cuddles, laughter, and a lifetime of love!

Medical info: Trout is on medication for seizures, which are stable. He'll need to be on seizure medication for the rest of his life. His seizures don't seem to slow down his enthusiasm for life one bit!

Trout is estimated to have been born in September 2023 and weighs 63 lbs. He is a hound mix who plays hard, naps hard, and can't wait to show you that of all the fish in the sea, he's the one you've been waiting for!

Trout's adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

Fill out an adoption application for Trout at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application
