Trixie Hound Mix Lexington, MA

Trixie is a 1 yr old hound mix weighing about 45 lbs. Trixie is a friendly hound. She is sweet and timid. She LOVES to be outside and is most comfortable there, She has come a long way since arriving at her foster home. She is very shy of people, but is learning to enjoy affection and will even come up to her foster mom and give kisses! She enjoys the other dogs at her foster home and has become very playful.

Trixie is very shy and tentative in new situations including with people she has never met and needs an owner that can work with her anxiety on this. She is making strides in this area and is taking less time to get comfortable in new situations. Her ideal home will be a quiet, all adult home with a fenced in yard and another playful dog. Trixie needs a patient owner who will work with her to build confidence. Once she does that she will be a wonderful companion. Trixie is being fostered in New Hampshire and is available for visits.

About our rescue
We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. However, meet and greets are set up for approved applicants.

Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
