Trisha American Staffordshire Terrier Houston, TX

Trisha is ready to find her forever home! She is the epitome of sweetness and LOVES other dogs, cats, and people. Her affectionate and friendly nature makes her a joy to be around and is very easy to walk. She spends a lot of her day sleeping, so if you are looking for a mellow but sweet pup, Trisha is your girl! However, she does have a little separation anxiety due to her traumatic past, but her breakaway crate has been the best remedy! It blows our mind she hasn’t been adopted yet because she is the sweetest, best girl ever. ? She is great with most dogs but due to her past we suggest no other dogs or dogs that don't like rough housing. Recently she was in a home with cats and was completely fine with them.

Trisha's was rescued from euthanasia at the county shelter when her story revealed a painful past. Her body scars are proof of a life spent as a breeding machine for profit, marked by lumps, bumps, and scars. Every single tooth was broken beyond her gums, a testament to the prolonged torture she suffered. The horrors deepened when it was determined by our vet that Trisha was subject to a level of violation and assault that is difficult to fathom (rape).
