Trip's Story

Trip was found as a stray puppy with his mom and litter mates in California. We scooped Trip up and quickly got him into foster where he's doing an amazing job of learning to live in a home, cuddle with the humans, have good potty habits and start basic training.

- 20 pounds and estimated date of birth is 3/11/26

- We have photos of mom dog and she is around 40 pounds full grown. We are unsure what dad dog looked like. We think Trip will likely be around 45- 50 pounds full grown.

- Best guess on breed mix is: Border Collie/German Shepherd mix. He's a wonderful little mixed breed who would be a fun one to do a DNA test on.

- Does excellent with other dogs and we would love to see Trip land in a home with another friendly dog. Other dogs definitely help boost his confidence and he follows their lead.

- Good with cats and has been fostered with cats for the past 3 weeks. No issues cohabitating with cats and he does not pester them.

- Kids ages 8+ if there are kids in the home. Trip can be a little shy and active, young children may be overwhelming to him.

- Doing excellent with his potty habits and zero potty accidents while in foster the past 3 weeks.

- Does well in the crate and sleeps there at night without issue

- Cuddly guy who likes to snuggle up with humans or other dogs

Trip deserves an awesome life after being round in a rural area of California in rough condition. He is a strikingly handsome puppy who just wants to feel safe and loved!

Trip has had two rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer, is microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery at one of our partner veterinary clinics in SW Portland or Milwaukie. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Milwaukie, Oregon City, Portland or Tualatin.

$350 adoption fee

Fostered in Portland, Oregon

COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG TO SEE IF TRIP COULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR YOUR HOME.
