Trina Hound & Terrier Mix Lambertville, NJ

TRINA came to AA after being beaten with a 2x4 by her heartless owner and dumped outside. She was also emaciated having endured long time starvation. Her owner told his neighbor that she was stupid and deserved it. TRINA had 2 broken legs with multiple fractures and was unable to walk or stand and had to be carried outside to go to the bathroom. After receiving orthopedic surgery and physical therapy, as you can see, TRINA is thriving and realizing that life, and humans, can be good.

Meet Trina, a 3-4 year old Hound/Terrier mix, 45 lb., blue brindle. She is a special girl loves everyone she meets...men, women, dogs, cats.

Loves to cuddle, ride in the car, very calm, quiet and laid back but enjoys long walks too.

Totally house trained, crate trained, good eater, no guarding issues. No separation anxiety

Easy to bathe,clean her ears, brush, medicate and grind her nails with Dremel or clipper

She has been fostered since October in a household with one adult and multiple cats and dogs and she has befriended all of us.

As her foster mom I think Trina would do best in a home with another dog, a male, but would probably be fine as an only dog too.

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick and preventatives.

Animal Alliance's policy is that we will adopt dogs younger than 1 year old to families with children under 9 years old. We do not adopt dogs 1 year or older to families with children under 9 years old due to the unknown history of adult dogs.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY: Meetings at our Adoption Center are by appointment only (no walk-ins). An online adoption application is required and must be approved prior to meeting any animals. Adoption appointments are set up by email by our Adoption Coordinator (no phone calls, please). This process ensures our dedicated time to the animals in our care, as well as full attention to adopters at scheduled times.
