Trigger

Trigger is Dachshund mix who is about 14 months old. He is Dog, people and Cat friendly. He might like his cat companions a little too much so if he joins a family with kittie members, you will have to help him understand social cues of when they want their space. Like any one who has ever owned a Dachshund, they are STUBBORN to housebreak. Trigger has come a long way but the instinct to mark is strong in this one so he wears a belly band in his foster Home that seems to have helped with potty training. He was recently neutered(yesterday) so That should definitely help with his marking instinct. The family that takes him needs to understand that HE WILL NEED TRAINING. Trigger has been an outside dog all his life. His foster family has been teaching him What it is like to live inside a warm home. Trigger loves affection and will cry when he cant get to his human. He was deprived of attention for way too long so now he seeks it almost constantly. He is a lap dog. He will LOVE YOU and will try to smother you with love so ... he is clingy. Which I love but others might not. Trigger is a beautiful handsome boy But will need a family that understands That he is a work in progress and will come with some trauma from the neglect he has known.
