Tootsie's Story
Tootsie is a sensitive, affectionate little guy who forms a deep bond with his person. Weighing just 17 pounds at 11 months old, this chocolate and white Cockapoo puppy has a gentle soul and an incredibly sweet nature. Once he feels safe, his playful and loving personality really shines. He enjoys engaging with his trusted humans, playing, and then happily settling in nearby just to be close. He loves sleeping in bed with his person or people but is also comfortable relaxing in his open crate when he needs downtime.

Tootsie can be fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations. He does experience stranger danger and generalized fear toward new people, including children, so he is looking for a calm, quiet home without kids where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. A low traffic environment with minimal visitors will help him feel secure and supported.

He does best with experienced dog owners who understand that trust takes time and who are willing to provide gentle guidance, structure, and patience. He is very smart, treat motivated, responsive once he feels secure, and he truly thrives on consistency.

Tootsie absolutely loves other dogs and does great at daycare, boarding, and is good for the groomer. He would do very well with another friendly dog in the home, especially one who enjoys play and can help boost his confidence.

While he enjoys playtime and being silly, Tootsie is truly happiest being someone’s companion, a loyal little shadow who will stick by your side and share life’s quieter moments. In the right environment, he will be an incredibly devoted, loving companion who gives his whole heart to his person or people.

Adoption Application (copy and paste link to browser):
https://airtable.com/appklteyg5w2e0fmu/shrY8RxQc1KxQYCuv

Kennel License #19083
Glenolden, PA 19036

Scout Street Smart Rescue adopts to residents of PA, NJ, MD, DE, NY, VA, NC, WV, OH, TX, NM, OK, NC, MA, RI, VT, NH, CT, and ME, with occasional exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
