Toots - Local's Story

Meet Toots of the Greta Gang litter. This sweet boys mom, Greta, was found as a wandering stray in 12/2025. While in the shelter, she gave birth to her to Toots and his siblings.

Before arriving to a New England foster home, these precious babies were then taken to a southern rescuers house and raised by their mama in a loving foster home.

They are typical puppies who are currently thriving, enjoying being loved by all, full bellies, and lots of puppy playtime.

Now ready for adoption, along with mama (pictured in bio), we need to find them each a loving home.

Name: Toots
Breed: Black Labrador Retriever/Crossbreed ( DNA testing has not been done and therefore no guarantees are made with regard to this dog's breed mix).
Sex: Male
Age: 16 weeks as of 4/20
Weight: 17lbs
Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.
Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.

PLEASE--Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
