Tony understands how business works.<br/><br/>When it comes to meeting other dogs, Tony can sometimes get a little carried away with his confidence. He likes to strut onto the scene like he owns the place and occasionally tries to show off his "boss" status by mounting other dogs. While it's more awkward than aggressive, it's something his future family should be aware of. Since Tony was recently neutered, we expect this behavior to improve over time as his hormones settle and he continues learning appropriate social skills.<br/><br/>As for cats? Let's just say Tony can't seem to stay out of their business. He's shown a little too much interest in our feline associates, and while he means well, we don't think he'd make the best roommate for a cat. For that reason, we're recommending a cat-free home where Tony can focus on running his own operation without keeping tabs on the neighborhood cats.<br/><br/>Tony enjoys going for walks, although he believes the leash is more of a suggestion than a rule. He can be a strong puller and will benefit from continued work on leash manners. The good news is that he's eager to please when food is involved, making training a worthwhile investment.<br/><br/>Like all French Bulldogs, Tony is a brachycephalic breed, meaning he has a shortened muzzle that requires some special consideration. He is seeking a family familiar with the breed's unique needs, including sensitivity to extreme heat and cold. Summer adventures should be planned carefully, and strenuous exercise during hot weather should be avoided.<br/><br/>Tony rides well in the car and is always happy to accompany his people on adventures. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children who can appreciate his enthusiastic personality and occasional lack of personal space.<br/><br/>A physical fenced yard is always a bonus, but regardless of where he lives, Tony is not a good candidate for a tether or invisible fence.
