Tona's Story

Meet Tona, a beautiful 5-month-old Xoloitzcuintli (Xolo) with a bright spirit and a heart full of devotion.

Tona is everything you'd expect from this remarkable breed—happy, energetic, and wonderfully alert. She takes her job of loving and looking out for her people very seriously. While she may be a little shy when you first meet her, give her a little patience and kindness and you'll quickly discover just how deeply she bonds. Once you're in her circle, you're there for life.

This sweet girl loves to cuddle and will happily curl up beside you after a day of play. She's the kind of companion who wants to be wherever you are—your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your loyal best friend. Her protective nature comes from a place of love, and she thrives when she feels safe and connected to her family.

Tona would do best in a home with a secure yard where she can safely explore, stretch her legs, and burn off some of that joyful puppy energy. After a good romp outside, she's more than ready to settle in close and soak up affection.

If you're looking for a devoted, intelligent, and loving companion who will grow into an incredible lifelong partner, Tona is ready to fill your home with warmth, loyalty, and endless cuddles

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $500 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org.

Polka Dogz Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
A homeless pet is more than one in a million—she's one in 2.7 million. That's the number of adoptable dogs and cats who are still euthanized each year in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people adopt. The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. When you adopt, you save your animal and open up shelter space for another animal who might need it. Polka Dogz saves these dogs from kill shelters especially the medically needy. We fix them up good as new and make them highly adoptable pets. Please support homeless pets and "adopt, don't shop, lives depend on it". We will soon have a property to call our own where people can volunteer, visit, and have a meet and greet with their potential new pet. Stay tuned.
