Tommy

Tommy is an 11-month-old, 34 lb puppy who was found alone in a motel room. Despite his rough start, this little guy has stayed positive from day one and absolutely LOVES people.<br/><br/>Tommy is a social puppy who wants to be friends with every dog he passes. He shows friendly, appropriate body language and is always excited to say hello. He's energetic, playful and has a goofy puppy personality that makes it hard not to smile around him.<br/><br/>Tommy recently got to spend a day away from the shelter and had a blast. He loved having a bath, was affectionate with his people and even settled down for a nap in the home. He had no accidents and did well exploring a home environment.<br/><br/>He's also very treat motivated and eager to learn. He's already knows "sit" and responds well to redirection when his puppy energy gets a little too enthusiastic. With his teen puppy energy, Tommy would do best in a home with older children. <br/><br/>Tommy will thrive with structure, continued training and an active family who can give him plenty of opportunities to play, explore and get some time outside the shelter.<br/><br/>As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.<br/><br/>To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
