Tofu's Story
Tofu is a foster favorite around here, because she’s been the perfect example of the Rule of 3s for settling in. In her first shelter she was listed at risk and was scheduled to be euthanized due to a bite history and some defensive behaviors. However, once she arrived it was very obvious that she had a bit of limited vision and just wasn’t a huge fan of being picked up - however by day 3 she was letting her foster lift her daily (for practice) and as long as she was talked to and saw you coming she was perfect fine. By week 3 she was snuggling on the couch and had settled into home life with her foster. We are thrilled to report that at the month 3 mark, she is letting loose and playing like a much younger dog! It is so rewarding to see her walk around with her favorite reindeer stuffy. Tofu does great with cats and dogs of all sizes, but due to her limited vision and need for consent, we recommend an adult only home or an home with older, calm kids.

She is crate trained, house trained and absolutely loves to carry her stuffies around the house!

Tofu does great with the other dogs in her foster home too!

Tofu is approx 8-9 yrs old and around 15-18lbs
She is guessed to be a maltipoo or havanese mix, but honestly, who knows!
Her coat does require regular grooming, which she enjoys!
She loves to go for walks, and if active walking isn’t your thing, she is perfectly happy to just relax in a quiet adult home as well!

To meet her apply here:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/KOTR/Dog
