Meet Toffee, a super sweet 10 month old spayed female shepherd/cur mix with the prettiest light brindle coloring that looks like tiger stripes ! She weighs about 35 lbs currently. Toffee was picked up as a stray in east TN and is currently being fostered in CT while she waits to find her furever home!<br/><br/>Toffee is a gentle, loving, affectionate girl. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and is a total love! She is great with people, kids, and other medium/large dogs. She loves kids! Toffee has not been cat tested. Toffee can do a 1 week foster to adopt trial with an approved adopter so you can see how she settles in before committing to adoption.<br/><br/>Toffee is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
