The people who meet him know that he's got a special magic to him and the people who have had senior dogs know that they are some of the most loyal and rewarding companions out there.<br/><br/>Toby is a gentleman, or maybe more like an aspiring gentleman! While he has some uncouth/adorable habits--a loud snore, a tendency to grunt, groan, and snort; an inability to keep his cool around squirrels--he's charming, confident, and loving. Toby made himself at home immediately in his foster home, comfortably inserting himself in the household routine. He is completely housetrained and easy to live with. He's also VERY affectionate. You'll have a hard time convincing him he's not a lap dog even though he's a very solid 50lbs. He wants to snuggle and the closer the better! <br/><br/>In addition to snuggles, he enjoys walking and playing in the backyard. He likes a Kong, but he absolutely LOVES a squeaky stuffy. His adopter will need a budget for stuffies since he both loves them and loves to destroy them. Toby is a nice balanced energy: he enjoys relaxing and activity in equal measure. <br/><br/>Toby is neutral and relaxed with the other dogs in his foster home, but requires some Cat Management so would likely do better in a home without cats. He is fine when left alone, but he's such a big-hearted loving boy that his preference would be an adopter who is home a fair bit. He is friendly with everyone he meets and often sits at strangers' feet for pets and attention. <br/><br/>Toby is an open-hearted, easy-going, good good boy! He's so full of joy and affection, and will bring a lot of laughter and love to his forever home.
