Toby is an adorable dachshund mix looking for a quiet retirement home. Toby is about 11 years old and will be someone’s steady companion. Although he loves his walks, Toby definitely prefers to sit with his person and enjoy some snuggles. He will crawl right into your lap and beg for pets. Better yet, he will even rub his little face against you as if to pet himself. <br/><br/>As he enters his golden years, Toby will let you know when he doesn’t like someone or something. He can have a little attitude when he’s feeling grumpy or unimpressed. We think he would prefer a home without young kids. We are unsure about other animals. <br/><br/>Toby is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.

Friends of Exeter Animals's Adoption Policy
The Exeter Animal Shelter does not do same day adoptions.  In order to adopt there is a fee, but for a lifetime of happiness its worth it. Adoption fee is $75 for spayed/neutered pets. DO NOT APPLY ONLINE.  Please visit the shelter and apply in person after meeting the pet you wish to adopt. If you have any questions about the animals available at the shelter, please stop in to speak with one of the Animal Control Officers, or call the shelter at 401-294-2754. Email us at: animalshelter@exeterri.gov If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering with the Friend of the Exeter Animals or making a donation, please contact us at: Friendsofexeteranimals@yahoo.com The Exeter Animal Shelter is located on Rt. 2 in Exeter between the Veterans Cemetery and Schartners Farm. From the North - Take Rt. 95 South to Rt. 4. Take exit 5B (Rt102) and take a left at the light onto Rt 2. We're just a couple miles down.
