Toby's Story
Toby is one of those dogs who seems to make friends wherever he goes. He's a happy little free spirit with a positive outlook on life, a love for adventure, and absolutely no mean bones in his body.

Since arriving in foster care, Toby has proven to be an easy companion. He's settled into home life beautifully, sleeps through the night, and has earned the privilege of sharing the bed with his foster family because he's such a good snuggle buddy. He hasn't needed a crate at all and has shown great manners around the house, including leaving belongings alone and avoiding any destructive behavior.

One of Toby's favorite places is the backyard. Whether he's chasing squirrels, romping around with his foster dog siblings, or simply enjoying the fresh air, he loves having space to explore. He's also fully potty trained and uses the doggy door like a pro.

Toby has met lots of other dogs and has done wonderfully. He's social, patient, and very good at reading the room. He takes the time to build trust and has even gotten along well with a grumpy resident dog who wasn't interested in making friends right away.

His only “flaw,” if you can call it that, is that Toby is always ready for fun. When it's time to play, he brings plenty of enthusiasm and positive energy. He would love a canine companion who enjoys wrestling, running, and joining in on the excitement.

Toby may have arrived with a few understandable adjustment quirks, but he's quickly shown everyone what an amazing dog he is. Sweet, social, easygoing, and endlessly lovable, Toby is ready to find a family to call his own.

They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.

Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events!

We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently.

Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog.
If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
More questions?
