After recovering from his surgery, we are seeing his true happy-go-lucky Shih Tzu personality starting to emerge.<br/><br/>We would love a securely fenced yard, for his safety and enjoyment, as he loves to enjoy the outdoors in the fenced area in his foster home. <br/><br/>TINKER is doing well with his housetraining with his foster mom home with him during the day to keep him on a schedule. You should always expect a period of adjustment when going to a new home. A new stay-at-home or works-from-home owner would be desired to help keep him on his schedule.<br/><br/>TINKER is currently on Doxycycline for 30 days after testing positive for Lyme. He was found to have "dry eye" and is on Cyclosporin drops and will need to remain on them. His eyes are responding wonderfully to this regimen. <br/><br/>Since coming into rescue, TINKER has required the following vet care: he had his blood panel and fecal checked, was neutered, had a dental cleaning, had his distemper combination with lepto and booster, bordetella, and rabies vaccinations, was microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea preventative. <br/><br/>If you meet the above requirements and think your home is the one for TINKER, the first step is to contact us by email (NOT using the Petfinder link as we have difficulty receiving those inquiries) so send the email to:<br/><br/>aboutrescuedogs@aol.com <br/><br/>and tell us about your family situation and explain why you think your home would be a good match for TINKER. Also please include your name, address, and phone number in the email. We will also require the name and phone number of your vet clinic as a reference so phone ahead and advise them we will be calling. <br/><br/>If TINKER appears online as adoptable, he is still available. <br/> <br/>TINKER will be shown at a meet and greet after approved application completion.
