Timmy's Story

Timmy is an adorable 8-month-old, 7 Lb. Chihuahua / Rat Terrier mix eager for love, He is not your typical Chihuahua no incessant, barking, and no nipping or biting. He was found as a stray, so we don't know much about his past, but he seems to be settling into a home life well. (working on his house training, using belly bands) Timmy loves being around people and getting pets and affection. He also does well around other dogs making him a great potential companion for a home with other furry friends. Timmy sleeps well in his crate and is adjusting nicely to a routine. Barkley Dog Rescue of Central California's Adoption Policy

Potential adopters are interviewed by telephone or in person. We require a stable home life, indoor housing for dogs at night, and that dogs are regarded as family. Advice is given if necessary for feeding, health care, training, etc. Any dog that is not suitable in their new home can be returned to us and the adoption fee refunded. Even after long term adoptions we request that owners who cannot keep their pets return them to us rather than surrender to shelters.
