Meet Timmy — Different, Not Broken! <br/><br/>Timmy is proof that sometimes the dogs who move a little differently can leave the biggest paw prints on your heart. <br/><br/>Timmy is a sweet, special little guy with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that affects his coordination and balance. He has a very special, wobbly way of getting around, tends to high-step, and may occasionally take an unexpected tumble—but none of that stops Timmy from being happy, playful, affectionate, and determined to enjoy life.<br/><br/>Timmy doesn’t know that he’s different. He doesn’t feel sorry for himself, and he certainly doesn’t let his wobbly legs stop him from being a dog. He loves attention, enjoys being around his people, and has a personality that will make you smile every single day. <br/><br/>Because of his condition and the way he moves, Timmy can be fearful of larger dogs who are too big for him to comfortably get away from or who could accidentally knock him over. For that reason, he would do best as an only dog or in a home with other small, gentle dogs who understand his limitations.<br/><br/>Timmy’s ideal home would also be one where someone is home the majority of the time. A retired family, someone who works from home, or a household where at least one person is home most of the day would be wonderful for him. Timmy thrives on companionship and would love nothing more than to have his person nearby for plenty of cuddles, reassurance, and supervision when needed.<br/><br/>One of the wonderful things about Timmy is that his special needs are relatively simple. He is fully vetted and does not require ongoing medical treatment for his Cerebellar Hypoplasia. His new family will simply need to keep up with routine annual wellness visits, vaccinations, and normal preventative care just like any other dog.<br/><br/>Timmy has already experienced the heartbreak of an adoption that didn’t work out, and we are determined that his next home will be his forever home. He doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for him.
