Tiki's Story

Meet Tiki!

Tiki is looking for the forever family she so deserves. At just 1 year old and 30 lbs, she is fully vetted, heartworm negative, kennel trained, and potty trained. And honestly? Tiki is just a really, really good dog.

She is incredibly affectionate and loves cuddling, being close to her person, and following you around the house. Tiki also does wonderfully with cats! Her foster home has two young, active kitties, and Tiki completely ignores them. She also plays well with other dogs. She can be a little socially awkward when meeting new dog friends, so she typically needs two meetings to warm up and feel comfortable, but once she does, she’s ready to play and run around.

Tiki has been through more than any dog should have to endure. She was dumped, became pregnant, and gave birth on the streets with no shelter or help. All of her babies needed to be bottle fed, and Tiki did everything she could to be the best mama despite the circumstances she was in.

She came into our care just two months ago, and she has come SO far since then. She does have some general anxiety that we are working through with a low dose of fluoxetine. This is not separation anxiety, as she does well kenneled when her foster parents are out of the home all day for work, and she continues to make progress as she learns that she is finally safe.

After everything Tiki has been through, she is more than ready for a home of her own. She is loving, playful, affectionate, and just an all-around wonderful girl. Now she needs someone to show her that the rest of her life can be filled with safety, love, and a family who will never give up on her.

- Located in College Station/Bryan, TX
- Meetings can only be arranged with an approved application.

Apply here: linktr.ee/zoisanimalrescue
