Tickles's Story
Tickles arrived in Maine in May and just hasn't had much attention from adopters- it's been a rough summer in terms of rescue and adoption so dogs that would otherwise be adopted quickly have been overlooked. One such pup is Tickles. This sweet boy has come so far in foster- from a pup that lived in the shelter and didn't know much to a pup that has integrated well into his new foster home- we're so proud of his progress! His foster says: "Tickles is doing great and is ready for his forever home! He is coming out of his shell and will happily say hi to new people when he's with his host dog brother. He gets along great with other dogs and is very playful. He is potty trained and, while he prefers a fenced in yard, he has successfully done his business on a retractable leash many times! He is excellent in the car, sleeps through the night in his crate, and knows some basic commands!"<br/><br/>Tickles is a mixed breed boy- we believe possibly some Border Collie, although his features are very delicate, which doesn't translate in pictures. He's about 8 months old and currently weighs about 40 lbs. We believe he will be between 40-50 lbs when full grown. <br/><br/>If you think you might be interested in adopting Tickles or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events.
