I was a breeder mama for many years so kind hands, toys, and love are all new to me but I'm a BIG fan. In fact, I love to be near my humans with a good chew toy or stuffie. I can even be a bit mischievous and snag an errant shoe or curtain tie but I'm easily redirected. I'm hesitant of humans initially but I will longingly follow you through the house and yard. When you're not looking, I'll stare at you with all the hope of what we can be as a family. I get along with other dogs and I need a home with similar laid back energy dogs. Sometimes in the mornings, I'll buck around like a bronco and let you hear my signature double woof bark.<br/><br/>Because of my rough start with nutrition, I need a home with limited to no stairs for my joints. My new home will need patience as I acclimate but know I will provide you with the most adorable snores and Boston sploot from day one! I don't willingly go in the kennel yet but once I'm in it and near my siblings, I'm ok. <br/>I'm learning this new life of companion dog, and patience will be needed as I adjust. If you pick me up and put me in your lap, I will stay there as long as you want. If you rub my head, I will let you hear the song of my people with the best snores. <br/><br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Working on it.<br/>Leash-trained? No, the leash and harness are not my jam. I freeze.<br/>Rides well in car? I'm not a fan but I will tolerate it if I'm in your lap. <br/>Good with other dogs? Yes<br/>Good with cats? I show little interest in other animals<br/>Good with young children? Older children would be best right now<br/>Good with strangers? Yes, with patient introduction.<br/>Shy or confident? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
