Thumper in CO's Story
The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Thumper. I am 4 years old and weigh 25.6 pounds (working on losing a couple of pounds). I was released from a breeder a year ago and my family home was just too busy for me. I am being fostered in Longmont, CO.

I arrived in foster care skittish and nervous. When I am in this state I do drool. Loud sounds and sudden movements cause me to freeze. I am getting more relaxed with time in my foster home as it is low key with two four legged friends and no children.

I love to be around my humans once I know I am safe. I love seeing them enter the room. I get anxious when they leave the room but in time I will learn that they are coming back. Id do better with parents that are home most times, not working outside of the home full time.

I get along with my foster siblings (male and female). Im not really into play yet but I know that will change. I love to chew on my toys. I like to roll on top of them.

I need a family that is patient with me. I am getting more excited about playing every day. Mom also thinks Id be better with a smaller female or on my own. Me and my foster brother (who is slightly bigger than me) get a little rambunctious at times. NO CATS.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Yes
Leash-trained? Yes
Rides well in car? Yes, but drools the whole time.
Good with other dogs? Yes, prefer female
Good with cats? NO
Good with young children? No as I work on confidence
Apartment qualified? Yes
Any Special needs or Health Issues? Arrived with an ear infection which has been treated.
Adoption Fee? $375

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application. We will respond back to you within 72 hours of receiving your application.

Interested in Donating visit https://www.adoptaboston.com/donate
