Thor's Story

Thor here! I am a proud Boxer boy and, at just five years old, I have been granted early retirement from my former career as a breeding dog. These days, I am looking for a much better job family companion. My qualifications include enthusiastic tail wags, a generous supply of wet kisses, and a heart that is more than ready to make up for lost time.

There are a few things I missed out on while living the breeder life. For example, daily walks were never part of my routine, so leash training is still a work in progress. The volunteers slip this thing called a harness over my head and off we go. Apparently, the goal is to walk beside them rather than tow them down the street or pull them into the nearest ditch. Who knew?

The good news is that I am a quick learner. Every time I hear "Good boy, Thor!" I puff up with pride and try even harder. I may be a little late to the party, but I am eager to learn all the things a beloved family dog is supposed to know.

The Animatch people will probably suggest that we take training classes together. From what I've overheard, humans have a lot to learn too. That came as quite a surprise to me.

Now, let's talk about one important Boxer trait drool. If you're someone who likes spotless floors, perfectly dry pant legs, and water staying inside the bowl, you may want to keep scrolling. We Boxers can be enthusiastic drinkers and occasional slobber specialists. Having a towel nearby with "Thor" embroidered on it might not be the worst idea.

What I want most is the chance to simply be a dog to go for walks, learn new things, enjoy belly rubs, and be part of a family who loves me for who I am.

If you're looking to make a real difference in the life of a deserving dog, I am ready and waiting.
