Despite that, Theo is one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs you could ever meet.<br/><br/>This handsome boy has a tender heart. He takes treats ever so gently, loves his toys, and is wonderfully quiet he's not much of a barker at all. Theo is also crate trained and finds comfort in having his own safe space.<br/><br/>Right now, Theo thinks the world can be a pretty scary place. Because of that, he will need a patient and understanding family willing to let him move at his own pace and help him build confidence. A calm home, paired with a commitment to working with a behavioral trainer, will help him truly blossom into the happy dog we know he can be.<br/><br/>One thing that makes a huge difference for Theo? Another dog. <br/><br/>He absolutely thrives with a confident, friendly canine companion who can show him the ropes and help him feel safe enough to come out of his shell. With another dog around, Theo begins to relax, play, and show his joyful side - its truly beautiful to watch.<br/><br/>Theo is currently living with older children (7+), and he does well with them because they understand how to be gentle, respectful, and give him space. He will need a home where everyone honors his need to come to you for affection on his own terms.<br/><br/>As for other animals -Theo has even been around chickens and leaves them completely alone! Squirrels, on the other hand... those are a bit more exciting in his eyes. <br/><br/>Theo is incredibly sweet, adorable, and so deserving of a second chance. Apply to meet this stunning, gentle boy today. <br/><br/>If interested in Theo, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com.<br/><br/>Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:<br/><br/>Thorough veterinary examination.<br/>All routine annual vaccinations, including<br/>Rabies, DHLPP<br/>Bordetella (Kennel Cough)<br/>Heartworm Test<br/>Fecal Test, Deworming<br/>Microchip<br/>Flea and Tick Prevention<br/>Heartworm Prevention.<br/>Spay/Neuter<br/>All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.<br/><br/>VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.<br/><br/>HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
