Thatcher's Story
Meet Thatcher!

Thatcher is what happens when you take a Border Collie, stir in a distant whisper of Great Pyrenees, and then add just a touch of teenaged awkward. At one year old and 56 pounds, he’s in that lanky, slightly wonky phase where everything works fine, but he's hovering between handsome adult and gawky teenager.

He is a genuinely sweet dog who is not trying to run the show. Thatcher is polite with other dogs, perfectly fine with cats, and does well with kids who are past the grabby stage. He tends to hang back, read the room, and then quietly join in once he’s decided things are safe and reasonable.

He will bond closely with his people, settle in nicely, and he appreciates a predictable routine. A fenced yard is important so he can stretch those long legs and build some confidence at his own pace. He’s not looking for constant stimulation. Give him a soft place to land, a steady environment, and a few snacks along the way, and he’ll do just fine.

Requirements are simple: fenced yard, a decent dog bed, and a household that understands that sometimes the best dogs are the ones who take a minute to figure things out. Do not mistake this dog as one who won't bust out an occasional zoom because he is absolutely capable of it. He just needs to feel comfortable first. This dog is going to make an outstanding pet for someone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/ then email summer@bigfluffydogs.com.
Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process.

NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION.
