Her name may be Texas Toast but she was a stray in Tennessee. Either way, this girl can't wait to make you smile like you just got a gift card to Texas Roadhouse! <br/><br/>With a beautiful white and black coat, this girl's got a personality that's just as charming as her yummy name. At around 30 pounds, Texas Toast is the perfect medium-sized companion for anyone who loves cheesy bread or going on an adventure to find some.<br/><br/>This sweet girl can be shy at first, but warms up quickly. She's curious, playful, and just the right amount of goofy. Texas Toast recently enjoyed her very first public outing to Ace Hardware, where she met new people, learned about tools and investigated every interesting smell to make sure they were up to code. She's eager to learn and takes new experiences with a little caution at first and then with whole-hearted pleasure. She is a smarty pants who's doing well with leash walking, crates and learning commands. She's still working on house training, but she hopes to get it in no time with your help!<br/><br/>At her foster home, Texas Toast loves playing with the other dogs. She's more interested in chasing and romping than roughhousing. When playtime is over, she settles down and relaxes like she's on vacation. She also enjoys a quick swim! She's good with inside and outside kitties as well! Did we mention Texas Toast is also wonderful with kids? When she was around a 9-month-old baby, she simply gave a polite sniff "hello" and went on her way. With children ages 6 to 10, she happily soaked up the attention, followed them around, and was ready to play. <br/><br/>Like many herding breeds, Texas Toast has discovered that geese and turkeys are fascinating to herd, so a home without free-range birds would be the best fit.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, fun-loving young dog whose name will make you smile, Texas Toast is ready to become your newest family member!<br/><br/>All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.
