Meet Tundra “Huck”!<br/>Huck is a handsome 7-year-old Plott Hound (or possibly a Plott Hound mix) weighing approximately 49 pounds. He’s neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and is healthy, active, and ready to find his forever family.<br/>Don’t let his age fool you—Huck still has plenty of energy! He enjoys walks, exploring the yard, and keeping an eye out for squirrels, unexpected visitors, and the occasional fairy. He’s athletic, curious, and always happy to join you for an adventure.<br/>Huck absolutely loves people and gets along well with other dogs. In his foster home, he is gentle and respectful with a bossy senior female dog, showing that he’s a considerate canine companion. He enjoys being close to his people and is happiest when he’s part of the family.<br/>He has excellent house manners, is completely house trained, and enjoys relaxing in his crate or curling up on a cozy dog bed for a nap. Huck walks nicely on a leash and takes treats from your hand with the gentlest touch. He already knows some basic commands and is eager to please, though he’d benefit from a basic obedience class to improve his recall—especially when something exciting catches his attention!<br/>Huck came to the shelter with a warning about cats, but he has not been formally cat tested in his foster home. So far, his only experience has been barking at neighborhood cats from behind the safety of his fence.<br/>While Huck likes children, he would be happiest in a calmer home. If your household is filled with constant running, loud games, and energetic little ones, Huck would likely prefer to sit this one out.
