Tessa (adoption pending)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tessa is an approximately 6 year old shih tzu who was surrendered to us by a breeder who is getting out of the business. She is happy and friendly. She will need some basic training but seems eager to please people. She did arrive with a rather matted coat and will receive a needed grooming as soon as possible. Her vetting will be completed with her spay surgery and possibly a dental cleaning on April 23rd, and her adoption fee is $150.<br/><br/>Tessa is looking for a patient home as she will need some time and training. She would prefer an ADULT only home with someone who is somewhat experienced with breeds like hers and the grooming they require. She should do okay with another smaller dog and would probably be fine with cats.<br/><br/>NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.<br/><br/>We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.<br/><br/>We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
