Teddy's Story
Hi, I’m Teddy. I’m a 3–4-year-old pug weighing about 13 pounds, and I came to rescue from a high-kill shelter in Texas. I may be a small guy, but I’ve got a big personality and a pretty adorable, slightly quirky walk that makes people smile. I’m friendly when I meet new people—especially the ladies—and I bond quickly once I know I’m safe and loved. I’m being fostered in Niantic, Connecticut.

What I really want is a calm, quiet home where I can finally relax and just be yours. I’d do best as the king of my castle, with my own person, bed, and toys that I don’t have to worry about losing. I’m still working on letting you know when I need to go outside, but I understand that outside is for potty and I’m doing well with a routine. I wear a belly band for now while I keep learning. I’m crate trained, can go up stairs, and I’m learning how to go down with a little help using my harness and leash.

I do have a mild luxating patella, which just means you might see a little skip in my step sometimes—it doesn’t slow me down and just adds to my charm. The vet says I do not need surgery. I’m fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on preventatives. My dream home would be with someone who’s around often—maybe you work from home, are retired, or just have the time to give me the love and stability I’ve been missing. I’m ready to be someone’s special little companion—I just need someone to choose me.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6955de7421e486cc05088271

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
