Facing euthanasia because his family could not manage his medical needs, Teddy was also carrying an extra 15 pounds and in urgent need of a TPLO surgery.<br/>Once in rescue, Teddy’s transformation began. With proper nutrition—trading table scraps for high-quality dog food—and a dedicated foster home, he was on the path to healing.<br/>In early December, Teddy underwent his first TPLO surgery on his left rear leg. His recovery required patience and commitment, and his foster mom was there every step of the way—carefully assisting him up and down stairs, keeping activity low, and ensuring he had the quiet time he needed to heal.<br/>But Teddy wasn’t done yet.<br/>Due to the strain caused by uneven weight distribution, his right leg had also been affected. That meant a second TPLO surgery—and another long recovery of 10–12 weeks.<br/>⭐️ With over $10,000 in medical expenses, Prairie Paws Rescue never gave up on Teddy—and neither did he. ⭐️<br/>During his time in foster care, Teddy not only healed—he thrived.
