Meet Teddy

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13161

Hi, I'm Teddy! I am a mixed breed dog estimated to be about 10-11 months old and weighing about 35 pounds.

I was found outside when I was about 6 months old and showed a lot of signs of having been on my own for a while. As a result, I'm still learning about humans and home life. I have lived with two fosters and I am getting into a routine, but I still have a lot of insecurities. I have a lot of good qualities too! OPH says they are #teamteddy all the way!

I would like you to know I:
- am house trained
- will relax quietly in my crate - it's my safe space
- havent met a four-legged I didnt like and would love a doggie sibling
- love to run around outside and chase balls and frisbees
- love chew toys and tasty treats like turkey, ham and cheese, scrambled eggs and White Cheddar Smartfood!
- am working with my foster on not being so scared and frightened

If you are looking for a sweet, handsome boy to love and devote your time and patience to, I am the Teddy Bear for you.

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
