Ted's Story

Meet Ted
Ted is one of Moira's babies — a hound mix who looks just like his redbone hound mama, only in a lighter shade of red that makes him extra handsome.

Ted is the best of everyone all in one puppy: he's got the cuddly sweetness, the playful puppy fun, the curious little explorer energy, and the easy-going nature that makes him a total joy to have around. He's the kind of pup who can roll with whatever the day brings — cuddle time, play time, adventure time... he's in.

Honestly, Ted often gets overlooked simply because he's not the loudest or the most dramatic — he's just a go-with-the-flow, happy-to-be-here kind of guy. But those are the dogs that make the very best companions... steady, gentle, and quietly wonderful.

Like his siblings, Ted has been with us since they were 2 weeks old, and we've put a big focus on gentle handling and desensitizing. These pups are comfortable being held, touched, and even flipped onto their backs—relaxed and content. Despite being rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation with 32 dogs, they've been healthy and thriving. Their mom, Moira, was emaciated but took amazing care of them, and we've made sure these babies will only know kindness from here on out.

Ted is great with other dogs (big, small, young, old), good with cats, and good with kids. He does well crated at night, is working on potty training (still a baby!), and we're beginning leash training and simple commands like sit.

Ted's highlights:
• Hound mix — looks like his redbone mom, lighter red shade
• “Best of the litter” blend: cuddly, playful, curious, easy-going
• Go-with-the-flow personality (quietly amazing)
• Good with kids
• Great with dogs of all sizes/ages
• Good with cats
• Crate trained at night
• Working on potty training (still a baby!)
• Starting leash training + basics like “sit”
• Up to date on shots and on prevention

If you want a pup who's easy to love and easy to live with, Ted is your guy — the sweet, steady, “wherever you go, I'll go” best friend. If you would like Ted to join your family please fill out an adoption application. His $550 adoption fee cover medical care to include vaccines, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY.
