They can overheat quickly, so always keep them cool and avoid strenuous activity.<br/>-Watch for signs of breathing distress, including excessive panting, loud snorting, gagging, or blue tinged gums. If you notice these signs, they need immediate rest and possibly veterinary care.<br/>-Pugs are prone to weight gain, and even a few extra pounds can significantly worsen their breathing due to the added pressure on their airway. Keeping them at a healthy weight through portion control, balanced nutrition, and appropriate low-impact exercise is one of the most important things you can do to support their overall health and help them breath easier.
