At 65 pounds, this Mountain Cur mix is all legs and love, standing tall and lean in a stunning dark brindle coat that turns heads wherever he goes.<br/><br/>Tater’s story hasn’t been easy. During the last winter storm, he and his sister were turned loose and became separated. Tater was left to brave the cold on his own, walking nonstop just to keep his feet from freezing. Despite everything he’s been through, his heart remains incredibly sweet and trusting.<br/><br/>His foster mom says Tater is a gentle, affectionate boy who already knows “sit” and “lay down.” He loves to play fetch and proudly shows off his “drop it” skills, too! He still has that fun, energetic young-dog spirit and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch those long legs and run freely and play with his family.<br/><br/>Tater is resilient, loving, and ready for a fresh start — could your home be his happy ending?<br/><br/>ADOPTING A DOG<br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
