Tater Boxer & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Unionville, CT

Tater is one of those dogs that gets looked over in shelters, he is a Bully mix, adult, and black. Those attributes grouped together are often a death sentence for dogs in over crowded city shelters.

Tater had the good fortune of landing in a facility which we work with that does not euthanize for space. Still, it doesnt make things easier for a dog like Tater that wants desperately to be part of a family. You see, Tater had been living at this facility for TWO YEARS. We received a plea to help him find his forever family. The staff and volunteers have nothing but love for this boy and want him to have what he craves and deserves, which is his own home and family.

Tater dearly loves people, and that includes children. One of the shelter volunteers paid to send Tater for professional training to help polish his manners, he has done beautifully and also had the opportunity to socialize more while in this setting. He met a wide array of dogs, large and small, and did well with everyone!

Tater has had some professional training and is a very smart boy that picks up quickly on ques and instruction. He very much wants to please and enjoys the challenge of learning. We think he would absolutely accel at advanced training and would likely be a great dog for agility training as well. Generally speaking, Tater is an awesome boy; smart, affectionate, and looking for a committed family that will include him in daily activities and make him a true member of the household.
