Tater's Story

Volunteers say: the absolute sweetest baby. She loves playing fetch and knows sit and paw. Strong; a harness is VERY helpful while walking her. Very sweet and a lot of fun in the big yard.

Staff says: fun girl! Can look a bit scary in her kennel, barking and jumping, but is fine once you give her treats. Pulls very hard toward other dogs, but is loose, wiggly and friendly meeting them through a fence. She might look tough, but she's actually quite the darling.

What's that red bump by her eye?

This is called "Cherry Eye" and is common with certain breeds. It is caused when the third eyelid pops out due to weak tissue.

Surgery fixes most cases, but proper post-surgery healing requires the dog to be in a cone and a lower stress environment is needed. Unfortunately, this is not possible in a shelter environment.

If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please speak with the front desk about options to allow them to heal successfully in your home!
Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Weight: 97.6lbs Age: 2yrs 1mths 1wks Animal has been Spayed
