Tanner's Story
Tanner is a devoted 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who comes as a package deal with his beloved sister Tally - and the bond between them is something special. Tally looks after him, and he clearly draws comfort from having her close.

Tanner came to us timid and still finding his confidence, but he's already settling in and warming up to the people and pets around him. He is vocal and will bark at new sounds and activity, but settles quickly once he feels safe. He has been exposed to cats in his foster home and is making progress, though he may give chase when startled - so a home with calm, confident cats and patience for continued adjustment would be the right fit.

Tanner has some hearing loss due to an ongoing ear condition, so patience and gentle handling will go a long way with him. He is not a fan of crates and does best with open, comfortable spaces to call his own. He and Tally do best when fed separately so both get their fair share. Because he tends to jump up enthusiastically to greet people, he'd be a better fit for a home with older children or adults.

If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion - and a built-in bonded pair - Tanner and Tally are ready to find their people.
