Tank/Prince's Story

Tank is a graduate of our dog training program at Northeastern New Mexico Correctional Facility. His handler writes:
"Tank really is a great dog. He is the most mild-mannered and most obedient dog this program has had. Tank is the only dog who, on a daily basis, goes out and performs flawlessly at dog training. As good as he performs, he is the one who does it without a leash. He is a very smart dog. He's healthy, strong, and always ready to go. The only issue he has is an allergy to something in the water here, but I give him Zyrtec, and he's good to go.
"He doesn't get too excited about much except for food and women; otherwise, he's very mellow. He is very food/treat motivated. He very rarely plays with other dogs; he would rather follow me around, which I enjoy. He was abused before he came here, so it takes him a minute to get acquainted with new people. He warmed up and became my sidekick and has stayed right by my side ever since. He loves to go outside. He is just as happy hopping through the cold, deep snow as he is laying out in the hot sun on a lazy afternoon. He is very protective.
"When my 5-year-old daughter comes to visit, he goes nuts and tries to pull me down the hallway when he figures out where he's going. He loves that little girl so much, if they could have dogs where they live, he would already be there. I really want to say Tank is a terrible dog and needs more training so they would leave him here with me, but it would all be lies. I would like nothing more than for him to stay here with me forever, as he is a great
'therapy' dog for me. Tank is a great dog and deserves a great forever home and family. Whoever adopts him will have themselves a great companion and friend. I don't see how anyone could go wrong by choosing this guy. I am very grateful to have had Tank. Although he is here for training, he has helped me so much."All adoption fees include spay/neuter, all shots up to adoption date, and lifetime microchip registration.
All medium or large dogs will be adopted to homes with at least a 5 ft secure fence. All adopted dogs are eligible for free beginner basic training to help transition to their furever homes go as smoothly as possible.
